Are you interested in working in the mental health field supporting children?
CHCS is currently looking for individuals interested in working in residential crisis homes for children.
Will monitor and provide therapeutic support in a short-term residential setting for clients who are in psychiatric crisis.
Service delivered is described in each individual’s crisis stabilization plan. Service is provided to children with varying needs, difficulties, levels of ability and demands in a quick paced environment.

Must have a high school diploma or GED
Experience working with clients who have mental illness is a plus along with any secondary education in a mental health field
Must have a MHRT 1 or complete a MHRT 1 provisional certification with ten days of employment and obtain a full MHRT 1 within one year of employment
Strong knowledge of medications and medical terminology, mental health issues and crisis theory is preferred
Must have a valid Maine driver's license and reliable transportation.
